What is it about a stranger’s prayer that is so powerful? If you’re going through one of those troubled times in your life, a friend’s word of advice and encouragement are always beneficial. When you tell a stranger your problems and he/she becomes a selfless helping hand, it triggers an emotional part of you that can’t be described by words. 

I can vouch for that, for I received a heartfelt prayer from a stranger today at church. Again, I’m not preaching or pushing religion onto anyone, but simply sharing the wonders that a community like this brings. I let my heart out to this stranger and told him the problems that have been troubling me the past few weeks. After he took the time to hear my story, he dove deep into his heart and spoke some wise words of wisdom. To my surprise, he told me everything I needed to hear to bring joy, confidence, and peace to my heart. He didn’t completely solve the problem, but he gave me the jump-start that I needed. 

I’m all smiles at this moment and want to keep it going. Oh man—life is crazy, but we all find different ways to solve our problems and move forward. If all else fails, try seeking advice or a prayer from a stranger. I promise it’ll help.
